Topological Dual Systems for Spaces of Vector Measure p-Integrable Functions
2016
[EN] We show a Dvoretzky-Rogers type theorem for the adapted version of the q-summing operators to the topology of the convergence of the vector valued integrals on Banach function spaces. In the pursuit of this objective we prove that the mere summability of the identity map does not guarantee that the space has to be finite dimensional, contrary to the classical case. Some local compactness assumptions on the unit balls are required. Our results open the door to new convergence theorems and tools regarding summability of series of integrable functions and approximation in function spaces, since we may find infinite dimensional spaces in which convergence of the integrals, our vector value…
Remarks on the semivariation of vector measures with respect to Banach spaces.
2007
Suppose that and . It is shown that any Lp(µ)-valued measure has finite L2(v)-semivariation with respect to the tensor norm for 1 ≤ p < ∞ and finite Lq(v)-semivariation with respect to the tensor norm whenever either q = 2 and 1 ≤ p ≤ 2 or q > max{p, 2}. However there exist measures with infinite Lq-semivariation with respect to the tensor norm for any 1 ≤ q < 2. It is also shown that the measure m (A) = χA has infinite Lq-semivariation with respect to the tensor norm if q < p.
On Certain Metrizable Locally Convex Spaces
1986
Publisher Summary This chapter discusses on certain metrizable locally convex spaces. The linear spaces used are defined over the field IK of real or complex numbers. The word "space" will mean "Hausdorff locally convex space". This chapter presents a proposition which states if U be a neighborhood of the origin in a space E. If A is a barrel in E which is not a neighborhood of the origin and F is a closed subspace of finite codimension in E’ [σ(E’,E)], then U° ∩ F does not contain A° ∩ F. Suppose that U° ∩ F contain A° ∩ F. Then A° ∩ F is equicontinuous hence W is also equicontinuous. Since W° is contained in A, it follows that A is a neighborhood of the origin, a contradiction.

A remark on weakly convex continuous mappings in topological linear spaces
2009
Abstract Let C be a compact convex subset of a Hausdorff topological linear space and T : C → C a continuous mapping. We characterize those mappings T for which T ( C ) is convexly totally bounded.
TOPOLOGICAL PARTIAL *-ALGEBRAS: BASIC PROPERTIES AND EXAMPLES
1999
Let [Formula: see text] be a partial *-algebra endowed with a topology τ that makes it into a locally convex topological vector space [Formula: see text]. Then [Formula: see text] is called a topological partial *-algebra if it satisfies a number of conditions, which all amount to require that the topology τ fits with the multiplier structure of [Formula: see text]. Besides the obvious cases of topological quasi *-algebras and CQ*-algebras, we examine several classes of potential topological partial *-algebras, either function spaces (lattices of Lp spaces on [0, 1] or on ℝ, amalgam spaces), or partial *-algebras of operators (operators on a partial inner product space, O*-algebras).
Non absolutely convergent integrals of functions taking values in a locally convex space
2006
Properties of McShane and Kurzweil-Henstock integrable functions taking values in a locally convex space are considered and the relations with other integrals are studied. A convergence theorem for the Kurzweil-Henstock integral is given
Riemann type integrals for functions taking values in a locally convex space
2006
The McShane and Kurzweil-Henstock integrals for functions taking values in a locally convex space are defined and the relations with other integrals are studied. A characterization of locally convex spaces in which Henstock Lemma holds is given.
Some Questions of Heinrich on Ultrapowers of Locally Convex Spaces
1993
In this note we treat some open problems of Heinrich on ultrapowers of locally convex spaces. In section 1 we investigate the localization of bounded sets in the full ultrapower of a locally convex space, in particular the coincidence of the full and the bounded ultrapower, mainly concentrating in the case of (DF)-spaces. In section 2 we provide a partial answer to a question of Heinrich on commutativity of strict inductive limits and ultrapowers. In section 3 we analyze the relation between some natural candidates for the notion of superreflexivity in the setting of Frechet spaces. We give an example of a Frechet-Schwartz space which is not the projective limit of a sequence of superreflex…
Banach spaces which are somewhat uniformly noncreasy
2003
AbstractWe consider a family of spaces wider than r-UNC spaces and we give some fixed point results in the setting of these spaces.
